David Stillman

David is a Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager on dsa ENGINEERING projects that require state-of-the-art energy conserving systems. Recognised as one of the world's leading experts in the design of high technology and energy conservation, David has been frequently consulted on projects that demand innovative engineering solutions.

David has had a broad range of experience including high-rise projects such as the 92-storey Hermitage Towers in Paris, the 110-storey Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the 50-storey Hilton Tower in Manchester, complex banking centres including the Goldman Sachs International Headquarters and First Bank of Chicago Headquarters in London; and zero carbon buildings such as the new Royal Mail prototype sorting centre, the Gota Dam residence and the new Larnaca Airport in Cyprus. 

 
 
 

 

Christian Baker

Christian is a director at DSA and responsible for the management, design and technical specifications of diverse projects within our firm. He has developed an expertise in the design and successful implementation of sustainable M&E designs with a focus on the demanding constraints of the luxury market across the residential, office, retail, and hospitality sectors. 

Christian’s past projects included a 126 unit ultra-luxury residential tower in Cyprus, the refurbishment of a Grade 2* listed country estate in Berkshire which included the design and installation of a private district heating system, the development of a 35,000 ft² ultra-luxury dwelling in central London, and the fit-out of numerous high-end luxury brands including Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Nespresso and Salvatore Ferragamo.

 
 
 

 

Joe Ward

Joe is a chartered building services engineer with over eighteen years of experience as a mechanical engineer. Joe has worked across a variety of sectors, and has also worked internationally. The previous decade has been spent leading the design on some of the most prestigious commercial and mixed use developments in London working alongside signature architects. Joe is very strategic and is quick to establish himself as a trusted client advisor on each and every project.  As a design leader at the front end of sustainable design, Joe has extensive experience of designing and installing the latest technologies (i.e. heat pumps) on a significant scale.

Prior to moving to DSA in Feb 2020 Joe spent seventeen years at WSP working in a number of locations (Leeds, South Africa, London). Following his arrival to the London market in 2007, Joe spent the next two years working on international projects with Foster + Partners architects before working on several significant (0.5 to 1 million sqft) London projects with KPF, Renzo Piano Building Workshop, AA & Pilbrow & Partners - working his way up to Technical Director. Joe’s final project at WSP was in the role of Project Director on the £350 million Paddington Square development.

 

 
 
 

 

Nicholas Polo

Nicholas is involved in the project management and design lead of projects falling under a wide-ranged spectrum of building sectors. Nicholas has been involved in a variety of projects including corporate headquarters, large speculative office developments, laboratories, hotels, high-end residential and retail, shopping and leisure centres and airports.

Prior to dsa ENGINEERING, Nicholas worked for RTKL in Washington D.C. where he co-started the M+E department, and then worked for Flack + Kurtz in London. His experience includes the 350,000 ft² Coca-Cola European Headquarters in Brussels, the Apple Flagship Store on Regent Street in London, the Larnaca and Paphos Airports in Cyprus, the 68-storey Vietin Bank mixed-use tower in Hanoi, the new 40,000 ft² expansion of Eton College and the new 3,000,000 ft² SABIC headquarters in Jubail.

 
 

 

Chris Munn

Chris is a chartered electrical and building services engineer with twenty years of experience within the prestige sector of the building environmental consultancy field. He is responsible for the day-to-day running of design projects and operational aspects of the design group with a genuine interest in developing and promoting technical excellence in design to facilitate continual improvement and optimising quality. Chris has strong technical knowledge, an eye for detail and excellent problem solving skills with extensive experience of managing and developing teams of building services engineers. He is capable of managing a project from inception through to completion.

Chris started his career at Roger Preston & Partners in 1995 as an undergraduate trainee. He was promoted to Associate in 2004 and Director in 2012 and was responsible for the design and delivery of a wide range of commercial, corporate, hotels, educational, retail and residential projects in the UK and overseas. He has a keen interest in sustainability, lighting design, energy use and conservation and interdisciplinary coordination. One of Chris’s key accomplishments is the design and delivery of over one million sqft of office and retail accommodation in the Spinningfields area of Manchester from 2005 to 2014.
